How escrow and payment milestones work
Program fees are split into milestone payments — typically onboarding, IVF, surrogate match, confirmed heartbeat, trimester milestones, and delivery. All funds are held in a neutral escrow account and released only against documented milestones.
This structure protects both sides: intended parents never pay for work that has not occurred, and surrogates, clinics and legal partners are paid on time.

Our partner programs are structured as fixed all-inclusive packages covering IVF, surrogate compensation and allowance, prenatal care, legal and notary fees, delivery and birth certificate. A clearly listed set of add-ons (PGT-A, donor gametes, twin surcharge, extra IVF cycles) is priced separately, in writing, before you sign.
Escrow is a protected third-party account that releases funds only when specific milestones are met. It protects you from paying for work that has not occurred, and protects surrogates from non-payment. Every Militta program uses escrow.
No. We do not work with programs that spring surprise fees during pregnancy. Every possible additional cost is enumerated in the program’s terms of engagement before you sign.
Only for clearly defined reasons — such as medical complications that fall outside standard insurance, multiple embryo transfers beyond package limits, or twin pregnancy. All of these are disclosed in writing upfront and quoted if they arise.
